hosting workshops is a fun & versatile way to have a get together among friends & family alike! doormat painting is a great activity to bring into showers, birthdays, gatherings, events, customer appreciation days, team building events & more! we will come right to you, bring everything required to setup & complete the project, and then clean up & take everything with us when we are finished! a fun, mess free way to enjoy a group activity that you will absolutely love the take home item from!

WHAT IS THE PROJECT?
you will each be painting your own doormat, with your choice of design! not artsy? no worries. we will be there to walk you through every step of the way to ensure you love the doormat you take home with you!
this class will include everything you need to complete the project, including doormats (your choice of size), stencil (your choice of design), paintbrush, paint, aprons to wear for the duration of the class & gloves if you wish to have them.
please note, workshops are the only workshop we host, at this time!
where do you host private workshops?
the short answer is anywhere you want us to host them.
we can come right to your home, or one of your attendees homes. if you would prefer it to be at a venue, we can source a rental space in the area you wish & include that with your quote for the event.
most of our private workshops are hosted in-home. in the summer months we are happy to do it outside, or at any time of the year we can do it in your home or in your garage/shop! when hosting it in a home, we can utilize the already existing table space and cover it using kraft paper, and we have additional folding tables we can bring to setup if we need more space or need to setup completely in an empty space!
how many people can attend a private workshop?
we have a minimum of 6 people to host a private or group workshop, but from there the number is pretty flexible! we can host pretty well any number of people to a workshop at one time, the more people, the longer the event takes.
how much do private workshops cost?
workshops vary in price, depending on the specifics of your event, but we will provide you with the breakdown of how we price them!
each attendee will be purchasing a DIY kit, which starts at $39 plus hst for a small size doormat & a non-custom stencil. you can upgrade this to a large doormat for $15 plus hst, upgrade to a customized last name design for $15 plus hst or upgrade to both for $30 plus hst.
next, we charge for the time that it takes us to host the workshop. it takes us about 2 hours for up to 10 people, we add an additional half hour per additional 5 people attending. (ex, 20 people would be 3 hours)
we charge for our travel time to get to you, but only one way. this time is calculated from where operate out of, which is red bay, ontario. ex, if you are in port elgin, we charge for 1/2 hour travel, even though it is one hour round trip.
our hourly rate is $75+hst per hour.

a note on how it works
i wanted to quickly mention that we try to make our workshops as versatile & easy as possible for our attending guests & that includes when it come to taking payment! if you are a business hosting a business event, we are more than happy to invoice you directly & have you collect all of the details for your attendees design/size choices. if you are a group who would all like to pay individually & split everything evenly, we can create private website links for each of you to go on & choose your design/size, and then checkout using credit card or apple pay. if you are a business who would like to host a collaborative event, we can set up the ticket sales to be public on our website for anyone & everyone to join, OR if you plan to host the event privately for your customers, we can create private links for that also! if you have any questions about the payment/ticket process, please don't hesitate to reach out & ask!
